Bogand©: The second edition of the Bogand© Maracana Vacances, Culture et Sport (BO.VA.CS) 2025 tournament was officially launched this Saturday, August 2, on the communal grounds of Sector 2 of Bogand©, in Gnagna, Eastern Region. The opening ceremony, under the honorary presidency of His Majesty Yempaabou, Chief of the Canton of Bogand©, represented by Dean D. Robert Lankoand©, was marked by speeches, the playing of the national anthem, and the kickoff of the inaugural match.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening match pitted FC L©gendes de Bantia against FC Jeunes Talents. At the end of regulation time, the two teams drew 1-1. The second match of the day, highly anticipated, saw FC Calcio, the defending champions, held to a 0-0 draw by FC Black Stars de Bantia.
Tournament promoter Juliano Diny©ri took the opportunity to thank the partners of the previous edition and appealed to all those of good will to support the current edition. He reaffirmed the tournament's objective: to promote peace, solidarity, and social cohesion among the local youth.
The sponsors of this edition, Y. Ernest Lankoand© and Mathieu Ouoba, were represented by Ouhambri Ouoba. In his speech, the latter welcomed the initiative and encouraged the teams to respect the internal regulations, which ensure the smooth running of the competition.
The representative of the honorary president of BO.VA.CS, D. Robert Lankoand©, welcomed the initiative and urged the participating teams to play fair. He emphasized the willingness of His Majesty Yempaabou Lankoand©, chief of the Bogand© canton, to always support this type of initiative aimed at promoting coexistence and peace.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of several local personalities, traditional and administrative representatives, as well as a large audience who came to encourage the teams.
